About

HBOMax approached our team to help produce the Hallowed Ground Virtual Summit – a compelling visual and interactive, 2.5-hour program, launched in complement to the Hallowed Ground film premiere that honors the legacy of its inspiration, Eyes on the Prize.

Hosted by award-winning media personality, Elaine Welteroth, the program featured an expansive set of voices. Highlighting the importance of reflection, release, and response, the summit provided opportunities for attendees to continue the conversation on social media and in their own communities.

Our goals:

  • Produce a cultural summit for Black audiences to consider recent and past movements of Black liberation through the lens of collective healing

  • Attract HBCU students to engage with the themes of respond, reflect, and release throughout the program and with platform features

  • Position “Hallowed Ground” and director Sophia Nahli Allison as a critically-acclaimed, genre-transcending documentary and emerging, breakout artist

  • Drive engagement to the Max Original Hallowed Ground Discussion Guide

My Role

My role in this project was to:

  • Create a content rollout plan for the HBOMax social channels

  • Develop a key content piece that would be used for talent/influencers, panelists, and participants in the film to share in promotion of the event

  • Lead outreach to potential content partners

  • Lead development of content with partners
